The German manufacturer has revealed that its new small car range, starting with the B-Class, has been designed to be as future proof as possible. The brand plan is to release a dedicated ‘eco’ version, as well as offering four-wheel drive and a range of alternatively powered models after the initial launch.
The car’s chassis received some significant modifications. It doesn’t anymore have sandwich architecture, permitting the engineers to lower its center of gravity by up to 30 mm. The B-Class will be much sportier but it will still offer the same comforts. Beside this, the future models will be offered with a range of alternatively powered engines.
